Have you ever dreamed of being part of a team that provides exceptional care? Help care for our patients in a unique role as a cross-trained nurse in two distinct units: complex surgery and concierge medicine. On 8E, you will work with chest tubes, epidurals, PCA's, tracheotomies, telemetry, various cardiac drips, and pulmonary hypertension medications. On 6B Rollins, our concierge unit, you will care for a variety of medical/surgical and telemetry patients. Number of Beds: 24 (8E); 6 (6B Rollins) Patient Population/Typical Diagnoses: 8E: Lung transplants, lung abnormalities and malignancy, esophageal and gastric obstructions and perforations, AAA or thoracic aneurysms, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac valve repairs, and peripheral arterial disease. 6B Rollins: Medical, general surgery, and telemetry. Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 (8E); 1:2 (6B Rollins) 8E is the only acute care unit in the Emory Healthcare system with "Patient Excellence" scores above the 90th percentile for four consecutive years and is a Beacon award winner. 6B Rollins is a concierge unit where, in addition to nursing services, patients have access to amenities such as a personal chef and larger, upgraded rooms. RN Clinician Educator: regarded as a clinical expert and role model in applying the nursing process and evidence-based practice to manage complex patient care needs. Leadership & Team Collaboration

Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses, patients, and families. Applies adult learning principles to plan and conduct educational sessions to promote staff development, competence, and positive patient/family outcomes. Role models expert communication skills. Demonstrates foresight regarding nursing care impact on patient outcomes. Recognized as an expert clinician and leader within their specialty area. Completes reports within specified time frames. Evaluates and revises operational forms as needed. Provides and coordinates resources for optimal patient outcomes. Models time management skills. Ensures policy and procedure compliance. Stays informed on clinical trends through benchmarking and evidence-based practice. Proficient in teaching and precepting. Develops unit preceptors and supports staff portfolios. Assists with educational needs assessments and staff development plans. Additional Responsibilities

Coordinates clinical orientation for new staff, students, and preceptors. Individualizes orientation programs. Assists in developing annual competency checklists. Supports education and training needs of staff under supervision. Assumes leadership roles within the interdisciplinary team. Contributes to resource evaluation and cost containment. Supports development of clinical leadership and critical thinking skills in others. Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited BSN program. Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience and 2 years in the area of concentration. Licensure: Valid, unencumbered RN license approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Certifications: BLS certification. ACLS may be required for certain departments post-hire. Additional certifications based on department and specialty. Must complete UNE criteria within 9 months, including specific communication and project requirements. Preferred Qualifications
