Location: Chicago, IL. Pay Range: $38.02 - $61.88 per hour.
Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is a senior-level individual contributor role focused on Financial Planning, Analytics, Budgeting, and Forecasting to support Rush entities. The analyst will independently determine appropriate approaches, maintain effectiveness and accuracy amid evolving work, and model I CARE values.
Responsibilities
Prepares and analyzes routine reports for distribution to managers and senior leaders (e.g., income statement variances, volume, FTEs, space).
Compiles data for presentations and identifies issues or significant aspects.
Reviews data and reports, tracks key performance indicators, and provides actionable recommendations for critical business decisions.
Works cross-functionally to communicate analytical findings and assist in implementing operational improvements.
Coordinates/compiles data submission for Benchmarking and Productivity analytics.
Performs monthly data loads to budget system and helps drive dashboard/report development.
Supports annual operating and capital budget processes and interim financial forecasts.
Provides advanced training and support on financial processes/tools, internally and to external departments.
Acts as resource/customer service liaison regarding financial data and analytics to all constituents across Rush divisions.
Accesses and effectively utilizes data from EPIC, Cogito Star, Axiom, and Link for reporting and analytics.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business (Accounting, Finance or Business Management).
Three to five years of experience in financial analysis or planning.
Experience in a large healthcare system or similar environment is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Access is a plus).
Skills and Abilities
Strong problem-solving, financial analytics, and data mining skills.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Highly motivated, self-confident, and eager to learn and improve.
Self-starter capable of working within a team setting.
Attention to detail and quality-oriented.
