We are seeking a

Data Management Architect

to lead the

design and implementation of the Platinum Layer

within the Databricks Lakehouse architecture for the

State of Texas MSI Transition Project . This role requires deep expertise in

Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and semantic modeling , with hands‑on experience integrating

ServiceNow (ITSM/SLM)

and

ApptioOne (ITFM) . You will be responsible for architecting scalable, governed, and analytics‑ready data solutions that enable AI and SLA‑driven insights for enterprise performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement the Platinum Layer for semantic modeling, SLA analytics, and AI readiness.

Design and deliver low‑level technical solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting pipelines.

Integrate ServiceNow SLA data and ApptioOne financial models into the Lakehouse environment.

Define, implement, and enforce data governance policies using Unity Catalog.

Collaborate with DIR, Capgemini, and SCPs to align architecture with strategic business objectives.

Build reusable frameworks supporting real‑time SLA breach prediction, cost analysis, and executive dashboards.

Support CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps automation for end‑to‑end data workflows.

Communicate and demonstrate high‑level technology benefits of Databricks to leadership and business stakeholders.

Recommend and operationalize best practices for Databricks in standard build configurations.

Technical Profile

8+ years in Data Architecture, including 3+ years with Databricks and Delta Lake.

Strong knowledge of Medallion Architecture, Unity Catalog, and semantic layer design.

Proven ability to build Platinum/Semantic Layers enabling analytics and AI.

Hands‑on integration experience with ServiceNow (SLA, CMDB, Incident Data).

Hands‑on integration experience with ApptioOne (Cost Modeling, Allocations).

Proficient in Python, Spark, SQL, and Power BI for ETL and analytics development.

Experience with MLflow, Feature Store, and AI/ML pipelines for predictive analytics.

Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Strong understanding of governance, lineage, and metadata management within Databricks.

Functional Profile

Experienced in enterprise data management and governed analytics delivery.

Ability to align technical architecture with financial and operational KPIs.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business, technology, and government teams.

Strong leadership in stakeholder management and cross‑functional solution delivery.

Demonstrated success in governance implementation and data democratization strategies.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $65.77/hour - $102.77/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
