GeBBS Consulting, a leader in Healthcare Technology solutions, has an immediate opening for an Implementation Program Director with hands‑on experience implementing the Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. This resource will support a major hospital partner in their migration from an older legacy EMR system into Epic from initial requirements to go‑live and post‑go‑live support. We anticipate the role to be remote friendly; however candidates should be within a reasonable driving distance to New Jersey for on‑site meetings or other activities as dictated by project needs.
Position Description This multi‑year program will reshape how the hospital delivers patient care, streamlines clinical and operational workflows, and positions the health system for long‑term digital success. The Program Director will serve as the executive leader for this initiative, responsible for guiding the project from initiation through go‑live and stabilization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, budget, and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Get to Do
Lead the full lifecycle of our Epic EMR migration, from program planning and governance through implementation, go‑live, and post‑launch optimization.
Build and manage the program structure, including governance committees, project plans, timelines, and resource allocation across clinical, technical, and operational teams.
Partner closely with hospital executives, physician leadership, IT teams, and external Epic consultants to align program goals with organizational priorities.
Drive accountability across all workstreams (clinical, revenue cycle, technical, training, and change management) to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Develop and oversee a robust risk management framework to proactively address issues, dependencies, and regulatory requirements.
Champion organizational change management strategies to ensure adoption, end‑user satisfaction, and minimal disruption to patient care.
Report program progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership, the board, and other key stakeholders.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare IT, with at least 5 years managing enterprise EMR implementations.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
Demonstrated success leading an Epic EMR implementation at a large hospital or health system; Epic certification(s) strongly preferred.
Proven track record managing multi‑million‑dollar budgets, large cross‑functional teams, and vendor/consultant relationships.
Deep understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle processes.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at the executive and board levels.
Expertise in program governance, risk management, and organizational change management.
