What You’ll Do

Craft electrical schematics, grid layouts, and facility designs that set industry standards.
Produce detailed production drawings with precision and creativity.
Apply advanced techniques to solve non-routine design challenges.
Review reports and test results to inform smart design decisions.
Ensure every design meets rigorous quality, budget, and schedule benchmarks.
Develop detailed wiring diagrams and relay panel schematics.
Keep project documentation organized and accessible.
What You Bring
Expertise in electrical engineering and design principles.
Mastery of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SmartPlant 3D.
Advanced skills in 2D/3D design applications.
Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proven experience in utilities, CAD, layout design, construction, and project control.
Your Background
Degree in drafting technology or related field with 7+ years of experience.
Or 8+ years with an Associate degree.
Or 9+ years of progressive detailing and design experience with a high school diploma.
Deep knowledge of design systems, calculations, and industry standards.

Work Environment The role is based in a modern office located in downtown Chicago, IL, with a dynamic and collaborative workplace culture. The office is 90% to 95% onsite with occasional travel (5%). Employees are eligible for the flexible 9/80 schedule. The company provides extensive training and is committed to career development. The office is located near Willis Tower, with plans for expansion to a fourth floor.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.80 - $49.50/hr.
