VP of Finance Our client, a privately held semiconductor materials manufacturer, is seeking a strategic and hands‑on VP of Finance to lead financial operations and support growth initiatives.
Location Santa Clara, CA. This position is hybrid, with an in‑office expectation once per week after an initial onboarding period.
Job Description This position will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. This is a high‑impact role reporting directly to the CEO, offering a path to CFO and the opportunity to shape the financial future of a growing organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
Lead financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
Manage financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
Optimize capital structure and allocation to support strategic initiatives.
Lead and mentor a remote finance team, including accounting, HR, and IT functions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional leadership to drive business performance.
Oversee cost management in manufacturing, including cost accounting and inventory control.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
10+ years of financial management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role within the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
Proven success in driving financial growth and managing M&A activities.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certifications; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
