About the team + role Robinhood’s mission has always been to democratize finance for all. With the upcoming launch of Robinhood Ventures, we’re taking a bold step forward—bringing access to private market investing to everyone, not just accredited investors! This new product line will unlock opportunities traditionally limited to a select few, helping more people participate in the growth of private companies. As Portfolio Manager, you will lead investment sourcing and portfolio management for Robinhood Ventures’ flagship publicly listed fund. You’ll work directly with founders, VCs, GPs/LPs, and secondary intermediaries to build a diversified portfolio of late‑stage private companies and oversee its performance, regulatory alignment, and investor relationships.
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA (preferred) or New York, NY office, with in‑person attendance expected at least 4 days per week. This role reports to the SVP of Finance and Strategy.

What You’ll Do
Serve as the lead portfolio manager for Robinhood Ventures, setting and executing investment strategies for publicly listed private funds
Source investments through strong relationships with venture firms, founders, LPs, and secondary intermediaries
Execute complex transactions in primary and secondary markets, including direct investments and transfers of interest
Construct and manage a portfolio aligned with fund strategy, diversification goals, and risk tolerance
Collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and finance teams to structure innovative, compliant investment vehicles
Monitor and report on fund performance, exposure, liquidity, and allocations for internal and external stakeholders
Represent Robinhood Ventures to prospective and current fund investors, articulating investment rationale and fund strategy
Grow the investment team and help define new strategies and funds
Continue to build the Robinhood Ventures business and product into one of the largest private markets investors in the world
What You Bring
10–15+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, fund management, or secondary market transactions, ideally in late‑stage/pre‑IPO companies
Extensive network across founders, venture firms, GPs, LPs, and secondary markets
Strong track record in sourcing, evaluating, and closing private investments in a regulated fund structure (e.g., BDCs, closed‑end funds, interval funds)
Solid understanding of U.S. securities regulations and fund reporting standards
Exceptional strategic thinking, judgment, and execution capabilities in high‑growth environments
Highly collaborative communication style and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement
Deep alignment with Robinhood’s mission and passion for making private markets more inclusive

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL) $258,000—$304,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL) $229,000—$269,000 USD
