GE Aerospace is seeking a senior director to lead research, design, and code methodology for radar cross section (RCS) and electromagnetic (EM) activities across a host of military programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining standard work on EM design for current and future platforms, shaping internal benchmarks and success criteria.

Providing professional guidance and mentoring to existing engineers, influencing EM, IR, and RCS measurement policy.

Interpreting internal and external program challenges, recommending best practices for EM, IR, and RCS modeling schema.

Presenting relevant EM, IR, and RCS test solutions and future growth concepts to leaders, establishing executable plans to deliver on requirements and program timelines.

Developing and owning the technology roadmap related to the growth and expansion of novel modeling techniques.

Establishing strong bonds between Supply Chain, EMS, and Signature Test to build out world‑class production capabilities for GE Aerospace.

Creating, deploying, and executing lean principles to manage program milestones and development objectives.

Driving collaboration and communication between GE Aerospace Research and EM code methods, and between EM and IR test teams to establish smooth communication and execution between design and test for all major NPI programs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or Master's in applied science, physics, or mathematics.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in RCS relevant military programs.

Requires obtaining and maintaining US Government Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics

Expertise in a broad range of RCS analysis methods, measurement techniques, and designs.

Expertise in a broad range of IR analysis methods, measurement techniques, and designs.

Significant background and experience of RCS scattering phenomenology of engine‑related component hardware; required design, analysis, and testing of RCS models and hardware.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of RCS design and radar range test measurements.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects; established project management skills.

Experience working with DoD customer and processes; managing DoD EVM projects.

Strong track record of ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead by influence; existing Secret or Top‑Secret security clearance with the US Department of Defense.

Security Clearance This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. Applicants who are not U.S. lawful permanent residents, U.S. Citizens, or have been granted asylee or refugee status will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government.
