PEPI: Senior Associate, CFO Services – Digital Finance
Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice works with private equity–held portfolio companies to provide solutions that preserve and generate value. The Senior Associate supports our CFO Services practice by delivering digital finance transformation, working capital optimization, predictive forecasting, and financial modeling that improve cash flow and EBITDA.
Responsibilities
Lead client engagements in digital finance transformation, including assessment of finance and accounting functions and implementation of digital technologies.
Develop and execute financial models (three‑statement forecast, liquidity forecast) and present insights that guide decision‑making.
Conduct client interviews, gather data, identify information gaps, and build predictive forecasting models.
Collaborate with cross‑service‑line partners to design cash‑generating initiatives, EBITDA improvements, and optimal organizational structures.
Manage project timelines, deliverable quality, and client expectations while mitigating risks.
Professional Expectations
Digital Finance Transformation expertise and proven implementation experience.
Experience in assessing finance and accounting functions and implementing digital technologies.
Finance & Accounting process improvement and process automation expertise.
Knowledge of digital finance tools and vendors; expertise in building predictive forecasting models.
Ability to lead independent workstreams and deliver actionable plans that generate value.
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited 4‑year college/university with concentration in accounting, finance, or economics (preferred).
3–7 years of experience in accounting/finance, financial due diligence, restructuring, investment banking, or private equity.
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and presentation skills.
Experience in at least two of the following: RPA, predictive forecasting, finance analytics, NLG, data visualization.
CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master’s degree preferred but not required.
Salary Annual range: $100,000 – $160,000 (varies by education, experience, skills, and geography). Additional discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
