Senior Project Engineer at Hydrite – Terre Haute, IN
The Senior Project Engineer supports plant operations by improving existing production processes and introducing new processing equipment at the Hydrite facility in Terre Haute, IN. The position reports to the Regional Engineering Manager and is a full‑time, mid‑senior level role. Benefits

Lead and support Hydrite’s safety vision, mission, and values. Perform project‑engineering activities (design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and start‑up) for new processing equipment or systems. Continuously evaluate, recommend, and implement plant process improvements. Promote production quality meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Coordinate and direct process hazard analysis (PHA) and related engineering actions. Support Food Safety and SQF initiatives and projects. Assist Sales and Marketing with technical assistance and customer interfaces. Monitor daily production activity, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions. Create operating procedures and training for new equipment and processes. Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, interns, and co‑ops. Maintain effective communication across Hydrite departments. Preferred Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (additional Project Management education preferred). Minimum 10 years of process engineering and/or project engineering experience in the chemical processing industry. Minimum 5 years of capital project management experience interfacing with contractors. Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Proficiency in AutoCAD and pipeline‑sizing programs preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English. Reporting Structure
