Senior PFAS Process Engineer – Black & Veatch
Join our employee‑owned company as a Senior PFAS Process Lead, focusing on compliance with proposed PFAS regulations and driving innovative treatment solutions across drinking water, wastewater reclamation, and landfill leachate projects.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize client interests, develop creative solutions, and lead business development or pursuit activities including pre‑positioning meetings, proposal development, and client interviews.
Attain and present on innovative PFAS treatment solutions at local, regional, and national conferences.
Prepare scopes of services and fee estimates for proposals, new contracts, and amendments.
Serve as a technical advisor with deep expertise in PFAS regulations, rapid small‑scale column testing, pilot testing, breakthrough curve modeling, and adsorption process design.
Lead multiple projects and support multiple clients simultaneously, serving as the central point of contact for PFAS treatment questions and guidance.
Deliver projects within established budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
Coordinate with internal and external team members to ensure activities are completed according to the critical path.
Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, fostering their technical development and developing future PFAS treatment experts.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
11 years of experience in drinking water treatment with at least 5 years in water quality and treatment or engineering management.
Established leadership skills and deep understanding of consulting, project execution, client services, and business development.
Strong communication skills with capacity for building and maintaining client relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.

Certifications Professional engineering license preferred.
