Maintenance Director

Base Pay Range $31.00/hr - $38.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus $1,500 Sign-On Bonus!
Paid in two installments at 90 and 180 days after starting employment, contingent upon maintaining good standings.
Responsibilities
Recruitment, training, clinical orientation, supervision, scheduling, timecards, and personnel issues in the department.
Communicate regularly with the Administrator to ensure the facility’s physical plant equipment is functioning.
Lead facility inspection tours and meet with Village inspectors.
Perform snow and ice removal as directed.
Perform minor tile, wallpaper, painting, and drywall repairs.
Perform gardening and lawn care duties.
Repair and replace door and window hardware.
Maintain and repair pumps.
Perform all preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate documentation as directed.
Assisted at other facilities, as directed by management.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repair skills.
Strong documentation skills.
English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
High level of PC literacy preferred.
Ability to budget the department’s needs.
Education & Experience
Experience performing maintenance duties in a healthcare facility or industrial setting required.
Associate’s degree, trade program certificates, or equivalent work experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, or health and environmental services preferred.
Physical Requirements
Walking, reaching, bending, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices required.
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
Must be able to walk, utilize a ladder, and work on the facility roof.
