For 50% of the day, coordinate and supervise the daily activities at the Congregate Nutrition Site for older adults, operating the site in accordance with the Area Agency on Aging. Supervise volunteers in meal preparation and service, maintain clerical records, check inventories, coordinate volunteer participation, plan and coordinate recreation activities, and perform related work as required. Assist the Home Delivered Meals coordinator as needed. For the remaining 50% of the day, ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the Beaufort County Department of Social Services building. Responsible for housekeeping and maintenance of the agency with the assistance of another full?time housekeeper, general housekeeping of the building and surrounding grounds, daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, and miscellaneous duties such as moving, assembly, and repair of office furniture, changing light bulbs, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining a log of repair requests. Qualifications Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job. Education and/or experience in nutritional or food service work that is directly related to the job. Obtain Servsafe certification within six months of the hire date. Valid NC Driver's License required. Pre?employment drug screening and criminal background check required as a condition of employment. Ability to read and interpret written instructions, perform duties involving standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs, and exert more than 100 pounds of force occasionally.
