in our Wholesale Credit Delivery team focusing on the Middle Market segment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Underwriting: Lead the commercial underwriting process, document transactions, analyze company performance, recommend loan structures, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio performance, identify issues, perform risk rating integrity, manage amendments and waivers, and communicate risk insights.
Client Calling Effort: Apply credit policy and pricing to develop solutions that meet client needs and risk criteria; manage data integrity and update loan systems.
Span of Control: Regular communication with clients, prospects, relationship managers, credit risk managers, and internal/external audit teams.
Decision-Making and Autonomy: Provide independent risk recommendations on clients and portfolio; review by ultimate risk approval officer.
Problem Complexity: Handle underwriting and management of significant client exposure.
Leadership and Influencing: Mentor junior talent and lead activities benefiting the PM platform.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field and at least 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience.
Mastery level proficiency with MS Office Desktop applications.
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Sound credit skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize workflow and multi-task in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a similar role with a commercial financial institution.
Industry or sub‑sector expertise.
Mastery of Truist Bank operating systems including COMPASS, MRA, Salesforce, and nCino.
