Product Owner II W2 Contract Only – No C2C – No 3rd Parties

Summary The Ash Group is hiring a Product Owner II to support a leading organization in the agricultural finance industry. This hybrid role is crucial for defining, planning, and delivering modern products and services, with a focus on high-impact document management and modernization initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay rate at $63 per hour, medical, dental, vision, direct primary care benefits, and, after six months of employment, a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.

Duration 6-month contract with potential for extension/conversion.

Location Hybrid in Greenwood Village, CO (onsite 3 days/week, typically Tuesday–Thursday).

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage and prioritize the product backlog

in Azure DevOps, translating strategic themes, Epics, and Features into detailed, actionable User Stories.

Partner closely with Product Managers and Agile delivery teams to plan and optimize key capabilities, specifically focusing on document management, storage, retention, and security modernization.

Drive product objectives by aligning deliverables with business outcomes and success metrics, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.

Lead planning and delivery

of key themes, organizing and prioritizing work efforts through Planning Increments within the SAFe Agile framework.

Collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate resources, arbitrate conflicts, and manage stakeholder relationships to maximize impact and ROI.

Oversee work process standardization, documentation, optimization, and scalability, ensuring product compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.

Analyze customer feedback and competitive data to improve the product and overall customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of proven Product Owner experience

in an Agile/SAFe environment.

3+ years of experience

in backlog creation, maintenance, prioritization, and sequencing based on business value / ROI.

Strong understanding of basic Agile practices and proven ability to work with technology, data, and UX teams to deliver value.

Experience with transformation programs and organizing large, strategic efforts into achievable deliverables.

Ability to think strategically, develop product roadmaps, and solve complex problems by developing clear Epics, Features, and User Stories.

Familiarity with AWS.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow.
