Responsibilities The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant, under the direction, supervision, and responsibility of a physician, and in accordance with established policies, evaluates patients' health status through diagnostic procedures and tests. Provides support to the surgical team through first and second assist. Provides therapeutic patient care in the outpatient and clinic areas, Pediatric Cardiac OR and procedural areas, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Progressive and Acute Care Units under the direction of a physician and in accordance with established protocols.

Schedule Full Time (40 hours)

Weekend and on‑call are required

Qualifications Education Successful completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program.

Licensure

Registered/certified by the Maryland Board of Quality Assurance. Board-certified (or certification‑eligible for new graduates) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Current CPR certification required.

If you order or refer items or services for Medicare beneficiaries, and you do not have an enrollment record in the Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS), you will need to submit an enrollment application to Medicare to be eligible for employment.

AHA BLS & PALS certification

Two years of pediatric cardiac experience required.

Additional Information PRN and long-term assignments available in January 2026

$150/hr
