Information Technology Applications Analyst I/II
Join Sacramento County as an Information Technology Applications Analyst I/II to develop, maintain, and administer computer applications and support business needs. Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain computer applications to meet business needs. Apply principles, methods, and techniques used in software systems development lifecycle. Develop, configure, and maintain databases, including installation, configuration, backups, restores, and performance tuning. Collaborate with Application Development and Database Architecture teams to integrate solutions across systems. Document application design, development, and administration procedures and provide technical documentation and training materials. Knowledge & Abilities
General operations and concepts of a modern, state?of?the?art information systems program. Software systems development lifecycle and related data processing techniques. Structured analysis and database concepts, database architecture, and database administration. Industry?standard hardware, software, operating systems, and database software. Test plan and test case development and use of testing tools. Mobile and web application design and development. Methods for defining logical relationships among data, processes, or events. High availability, data warehousing, and business intelligence platforms. Employment Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited institution. Or
four (4) years of full?time, paid technical experience in design, development, maintenance, or administration of computer applications and/or database architecture. Or four (4) years of full?time, paid experience in Sacramento County service providing user support in technology; system, software/application, and legacy troubleshooting; problem resolution; review of business processes and communication of user requirements or problems to a vendor or statewide system. Applicants will undergo criminal history and background checks. The County may conduct a background check on the candidate prior to appointment, including reference checks and credit history. A valid California Driver License, Class C or higher, may be required at the time of appointment. Physical requirements may include distinguishing colors, lifting equipment up to 50 pounds, and working weekends, holidays, and non?routine hours. Some positions may require travel occasionally.
