Responsibilities
Design, program, build, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems such as databases, cloud, or operating systems.
Analyze and modify existing software as well as design, construct, and test end-user applications that meet user needs.
Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and organization requirements.
Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgement.
Minimum Qualifications 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Software Development Engineer III: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Software Development Engineer IV: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio
Experience with Server Maintenance
Huron experience a plus
