Senior Research Analyst – The Helper Bees (THB). THB empowers older adult citizens to find high‑quality, affordable in‑home care. The Helper Bees mission is to help people stay home longer through data‑driven services that transform payer and care‑recipient experience. Responsibilities
Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative studies evaluating outcomes for older adults who wish to age in place. Develop research questions, study designs, data collection methods, and analysis plans aligned with social science and gerontology best practices. Analyze outcomes data to measure well‑being, service effectiveness, and member satisfaction. Author and co‑author peer‑reviewed journal articles, industry publications, and thought‑leadership reports. Translate complex research findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders, clients, and policymakers. Collaborate with data analytics, clinical, and operations teams to integrate research into service design and improvement. Ensure research activities comply with ethical standards, including human subjects research guidelines and data privacy regulations. Present findings at conferences, industry events, and client meetings to advance the company’s role as a thought leader. Monitor academic and industry literature on aging, caregiving, and health outcomes to inform research strategy. Other duties as assigned or necessary. Qualifications
Strong foundation in social science research methods, particularly in aging, gerontology, or public health contexts. Proficiency in quantitative analysis (SPSS, Stata, R, or Python) and qualitative methods (interviews, focus groups, thematic coding). Demonstrated ability to write and publish academic and industry research articles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate complex findings into accessible insights. Ability to manage multiple research projects concurrently, meeting deadlines and quality standards. Knowledge of ethical and regulatory considerations in human subjects research (e.g., IRB processes). Collaborative mindset with ability to work across interdisciplinary teams. Passion for improving the well‑being and independence of older adults. Must be 18 years of age or older. Education & Experience
Master’s degree in Gerontology, Sociology, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related social science field required; PhD preferred. 3+ years of experience conducting research in gerontology, aging, health services, or related fields. Proven record of publishing in peer‑reviewed journals or professional outlets. Experience working with older adult populations or in aging‑related research strongly preferred. Familiarity with healthcare, long‑term care, or community‑based service delivery environments is an advantage. Physical Requirements
Ability to remain at a designated workstation for the duration of the workday and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Constantly operates a computer and phone and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe details at close range (typically on a computer screen). This position offers the flexibility of remote work at approved locations within the United States.
