Electrical/Computer Engineer

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services, with key service areas including Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
Responsibilities
Perform research, selection, test, and integration of electronic components and equipment in a military environment.
Analyze, define and design mainly COTS equipment for new or existing systems or subsystems.
Additional responsibilities include drawing creation, troubleshooting issues, test planning, test development, and test execution.
Position spans the technology development life cycle, including requirements generation, system design and implementation, hardware procurement, integration, test, and installation across lab facilities and at-sea platforms.
Required Skills
Leadership experience.
Evaluation of COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf), ROTS (Rugged off-the-shelf), NDI (Non-Developmental Item) and/or custom components.
Test Procedure development and execution.
Participating in Integrated Product Teams, review boards, and customer reviews.
Python, Bash or Linux.
Video standards such as: RGB, Display port, Digital Video Interface (DVI). Experience with USB.
Experience with TCP/IP & UDP/IP.
Desired Skills
Experience with military hardware design processes and specifications preferred.
Experience with End-of-life assessments and evaluations.
Experience with networked videos distribution and streaming, or Remote Network Adaptor (RNA).
Experience with Routing and Switching protocols, IP, Subnet, Network Route, DHCP, UDP multicast.
Experience with Analog Audio performance.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience.
Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.
Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.
Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success.
