Medical Practice Coordinator
Nemours Children’s Health – Wilmington, DE
Join the Pediatric Department as a Medical Practice Coordinator to facilitate access to care, support clinical teams, and manage administrative operations across all Nemours sites.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule patients and manage the wait‑list and referral work queue to maintain patient access metrics.
Develop, build, and maintain EPIC templates for providers and specialty programs.
Provide daily administrative support to the Division Chief and clinical team members.
Coordinate and support divisional, departmental, and enterprise projects that advance clinical, educational, and research missions.
Oversee clinical schedules, EPIC templates, and provider availability edits and cancellations.
Utilize EPIC and Qlik reporting tools to assess and revise templates for patient access, provider productivity, and care center efficiency.
Handle internal and external telephone calls, triage urgent/non‑urgent calls, and ensure service excellence in all encounters.
Manage administrative tasks including CME activity accounting, provider CV updates, on‑call schedule distribution, time‑keeping, and reimbursement processing.
Maintain accurate records of licenses, CME, travel requests, and other provider documentation.
Support divisional meetings, correspondence distribution, and coordinate internal and external participants.
Physical onsite presence as required by the Division.
Proactively identify problems and opportunities related to divisional operations; address or refer problems and ideas.
Essential Functions
Daily oversight of divisional clinical schedules and EPIC templates.
Collaborate with leadership and providers to develop and maintain EPIC templates for all service sites.
Manage provider schedules and complete EPIC edits, cancellations, and hold times.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 Years of job‑related experience required.
Strong organizational, communication, and EPIC/EPIC expertise.
