As a Tax Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our client's dynamic Tax Department. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of tax returns and reports, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key projects and work closely with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare federal and state tax returns, as well as sales, use, and excise tax returns Compile unclaimed property reports and manage personal property tax filings Generate fixed asset depreciation reports, asset reconciliations, and projections File annual reports and renew business licenses Assist with special projects, tax research, and REIT compliance requirements Support internal and external audit requests Address and resolve tax notices efficiently Liaise with external tax consultants as needed Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA certification is highly desirable At least 1 year of relevant tax experience, with a preference for candidates who have public accounting experience Prior experience in Real Estate/Multifamily is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
