Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and experienced CFO to join our Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will oversee all financial operations and play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, margin expansion, and long‑term growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in commercial construction, a track record of financial leadership in companies with $150M+ in annual revenue, and the capability to support scaling to $250M+.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape company strategy and execution.

Lead all financial functions: accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, reporting, and risk mitigation.

Drive cost discipline and collaborate with operations to enhance project‑level profitability.

Develop financial strategies to support growth beyond $200M in annual revenue.

Identify opportunities for margin improvement, process optimization, and high‑return investments.

Provide financial oversight for multi‑state construction projects, including tax and regulatory compliance.

Ensure full tax compliance and proactively pursue tax optimization opportunities.

Manage relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, bonding agents, and tax advisors.

Build and mentor a high‑performing finance and accounting team.

Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to support executive decision‑making.

Support M&A evaluation and integration as needed.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including CFO or VP of Finance roles.

Experience in commercial construction or a closely related industry is required.

Proven success in companies with $150M+ in annual revenue and scaling to $200M+.

Strong knowledge of construction financials, job costing, WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and multi‑state operations.

Deep understanding of U.S. tax codes and tax‑efficient strategies.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

Collaborative, hands‑on approach with comfort working closely with founders and field teams.

CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
