Job Summary The Quality Supervisor manages and maintains a set of multiple Coordinate Measurement Machine (10+ CMMs) manned by a team of Quality Inspection (QI). Supervises the team and ensures that products meet the quality standards of materials and workmanship as set forth by quality assurance or engineering function. Ensures compliance to Axillon Aerospace Standard Procedures and Work Instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain product flow through CMM inspection to serve program demand.

Debug and resolve software/program related issues to meet daily inspection numbers.

Interview, select, hire and train inspectors; set and adjust rates of pay and work hours.

Conduct regular performance appraisal to reach business goals and recommend promotions or status changes.

Handle employee complaints and grievances; discipline employees.

Provide for safety and security of employees.

Supervise QI team in inspection of raw materials, parts, assemblies, finished parts and machined parts to assure quality products.

Provide CMM expertise and training for operation and first‑level maintenance to maintain smooth operations.

Promote working relationships between inspection personnel and other departments.

Maintain and track quality KPI for analysis, control and management reports.

Conduct other responsibilities as assigned.

Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education Post‑Secondary degree in engineering, physics (metrology) or equivalent education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Certifications CMM Operator Certification and GD&T certified; ASQ Certified Inspector is a plus.

Years Experience 5–7 years or more of relevant experience including supervisory responsibilities.

Skills

Proven ability to plan and direct technical efforts to meet quality targets.

Ability to operate and read CMM program (CAMIO and/or PCDMIS language is plus).

Skilled at performing examinations and quality control inspections on all types of standard and special products.

Experienced in analyzing and determining quality methods and procedures.

Demonstrated judgment to identify and resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems.

Effective interpersonal skills to influence and lead a team.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location and market considerations. Pay range $100K–$120K.
