Workday Consultant
Immediate need for a talented Workday Consultant. This is a 12‑month contract opportunity with long‑term potential and is located in McLean, VA (Remote). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.
Pay Range $60.00/hr – $65.00/hr. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Workday Benefits modules, including support for Open Enrollment cycles.
Manage and troubleshoot EIB loads for mass data updates.
Build and optimize calculated fields to support business processes and reporting.
Design and maintain Workday Security Groups in accordance with organizational policies.
Collaborate directly with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Proactively suggest process improvements and new ideas based on system capabilities and business needs.
Act as a trusted advisor to HRIS and business stakeholders through clear communication and reliable delivery.
Provide production support and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
Benefits, Enrollment, Security Groups, EIB
Extensive knowledge of Workday Benefits configuration and administration.
Proven experience managing Open Enrollment in Workday.
Strong understanding of Workday Security and best practices for security group configurations.
Hands‑on expertise with EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) for data loading and integration.
Skilled in creating and using calculated fields.
Self‑starter who can work independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to quickly understand complex requirements and turn them into actionable solutions.
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to earn trust.
Comfortable sharing new ideas, providing system insights, and influencing process improvements.
Previous experience in a large enterprise Workday environment.
Workday certifications (e.g., Benefits, HCM) are a plus.
Experience in other Workday modules is a plus but not required.
