Job Summary We are seeking an experienced
Operating Room Circulator RN
to join our surgical team. The Circulator plays a key role in ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively in a fast‑paced OR setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and serve as the circulating nurse during operative procedures
Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure according to safety protocols
Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout surgery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to maintain an efficient and safe OR environment
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control standards
Document intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly
Support a wide range of specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastics, Podiatry, and Urology

Required Skills
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing)
Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
BLS (CPR) certification required
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire (if not already certified)
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Effective communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and anesthesia considerations
Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
Proficient in navigating surgical instruments, OR protocols, and patient positioning
Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of OR experience in an intra‑operative setting required
Experience in circulating and prepping across a range of specialties is highly preferred
Prior experience in critical care or PACU settings is a plus
Telemetry or perioperative experience beneficial
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level
