Job Summary
Enterprise Systems Engineer
We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.
Responsibilities
Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front‑end graphical user interface.
Experience in multiple systems integration, getting different protocols to talk to each other and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.
Execute project start‑ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
Participate in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel.
Work with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
Run semi‑complex reports to analyze system operation, work with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.
Participate in final inspection and testing, assure customer acceptance, and conduct training for end user customers on system operations.
Provide Plans & Control System Documents to application engineering for as‑built drawings using the latest digital technology.
Mentor other specialists who may need specific automation or HVAC product knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo.
Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems – unitary systems to central plants.
Troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer/controller issues.
General understanding of IP networks.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (Java, C++).
Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
BACnet and/or LON, Lonworks Control Systems, Tridium NIAGARA AX/NIAGARA 4/Distech/Eclypse, Direct Digital Controls, Honeywell Webs, MODbus, Alerton, Johnson Controls FX, Staefa, Solidyne, Andover Controls, Siemens, and Schnieder preferred.
Compensation $63.00 - $83.00 per hour
