Job Description
Fast growing Private Equity firm in Northern New Jersey seeks a Tax Accountant. The role will provide assistance to the Tax Team for all aspects of federal and state tax compliance for all the company's funds.
This is a hybrid role: 3 to 4 days per week in office.
Responsibilities
Work with the Tax Team and outside tax preparers for tax filings and estimates: tax returns, Schedule K‑1s (federal and state, final and estimated).
Assist in data gathering from portfolio companies for use in tax returns, final and estimated K‑1s and tax memos.
Assist in data retention for W‑8 forms for LPs, and coordinate review of forms with outside tax advisors.
Assist in the preparation of internal W‑8 & W‑9 forms.
Assist with the collection of expired or invalid W‑8 forms.
Review 1042S & 8805 forms and assist with 1042 & 8804 filings.
Assist with FATCA and CRS reporting.
Assist in data gathering and preparation of FBAR filings.
Assist in required foreign information reporting for LPs including 926, 5471 and 8865.
Qualifications Qualified candidates should have 1‑2 years of partnership tax experience either within public accounting or in an investment management firm.
Salary Salary up to $80,000 base DOE plus competitive bonus and benefits.
