Position Summary The Radiologic Staff Technologist is a Registered Radiologic Technologist who, under the direction of the Radiologist or supervising technologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Must strictly adhere to the State of California Radiation Safety Regulations as it applies to worker and patient safety.
Job Requirements
CA Radiology Tech (R)
ARRT certification
BLS (AHA required)
Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
IV certification preferred.
1 year acute medical experience.
Note: This location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire. This ongoing competency is required through internal resources; external RQI resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Pay Range $38.47 – $47.90 per hour
Where You’ll Work Mercy Hospital Southwest – a 78‑bed facility located west of Highway 99 in Bakersfield, part of Dignity Health. The facility is a member of CommonSpirit Health and serves the Bakersfield and Kern County communities.
Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Hospital Southwest offers a broad range of medical and surgical services, including minimally invasive and outpatient options.
