SAIC
Description
SAIC is seeking a Digital Engineer with experience in applying Digital Engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques for Department of Defense (DoD) space-based systems. This role provides systems engineering and integration expertise in support of the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team.
PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers to develop the PNT System Architecture using a dynamic MBSE methodology. Major duties of this position include:
Duties
Apply MBSE tools and techniques to capture system architecture using the 9 standard SysML diagrams; building the structural/behavioral system perspectives; and defining operations, services, interfaces, and the concept of operations to establish a model-based system technical baseline
Support requirements allocations and functional decomposition to hardware, software, and lower-level components of the system(s) within the models
Integrate models from disparate stakeholders into a cohesive end-to-end environment to enable an end-to-end architectural definition
Produce model-based products using scripts, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and CDRL items
Apply Simulation/Analysis to the Mission Architecture via Cameo's Simulation Toolkit, Matlab, and STK
Help to establish best modeling practices with the Government to better enforce contractor SysML modeling standards
Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification, and testing
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and nine (9) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience OR Master's degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and seven (7) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience
Active Secret Clearance
Experience working across space, ground, and user segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements and key performance parameters to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met
Experience with system architecture development
Strong experience using Cameo and knowledge of SysML 1.5
Desired
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Experience working in an Agile team/framework
Demonstrated experience working with Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems
Knowledge of space operations and orbital dynamics
Knowledge of Matlab and/or Python, and STK
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
