Clinical Technicians
at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport patients to the discharge lounge and to vehicles using wheelchairs
Make frequent trips to various hospital pharmacies to pick up discharge medications
Provide exceptional patient service and support, ensuring each patient feels cared for and respected
Communicate effectively with clinical and support teams to ensure timely and efficient discharges
Remain flexible and responsive to a fast-paced, dynamic hospital environment

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience.
Licensure/Certifications:
Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
Current CPR certification
Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
