Lead Recruiter @ Mastech Digital | Global Talent Acquisition
Title: Senior Data Architect (SDA)
Duration: Long term
(ONLY W2)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of robust data architecture solutions supporting Data Warehousing, ODS, ETL, and Data Replication projects (95% on‑premises).
Develop and manage strategic data governance and master data management (MDM) initiatives, including policies and roadmap execution.
Implement and optimize solutions using Oracle Exadata and Oracle Goldengate for high‑availability, scalable environments.
Architect, develop, and support complex ETL pipelines using Informatica and/or Ab Initio, ensuring data quality and consistency through all stages of data movement.
Drive and enforce data standardization (definitions, dictionary, lineage), maintaining thorough documentation and accessible references for ongoing projects.
Collaborate with DBA, ETL, Data Management, and Business teams to establish and refine best practices in data modeling, transformation, replication, and processing.
Mentor and provide technical leadership to data architects and analysts, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.
Work with business stakeholders, enterprise architecture, and technical teams to align data architecture with organizational goals.
Create a strategic roadmap and lead the implementation of Master Data Management solutions (including acting tool selection and rollout).
Participate in and sometimes lead in‑person working sessions and interviews at short notice (willingness to relocate or travel required).
Core Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in hands‑on Data Architecture roles, with primary expertise on‑premises (not DBA, not cloud‑only).
Strong background in data warehousing, ODS, Big Data, and OLTP architecture and implementation.
Demonstrable experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Goldengate for data movement and high‑volume replication.
In‑depth experience with Informatica and/or Ab Initio, including design, development, and optimization of ETL/ELT processes.
Proven ability in physical and logical data modeling—star, snowflake, normalization—and operationalizing data lineage/documentation.
Hands‑on in Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, tool implementation, and stewardship.
Solid data governance background (20–25% focus) with practical examples enforcing standards, terminology, and data quality policies.
Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to both business and technical audiences; must be comfortable presenting achievements and demystifying architecture.
Track record of hands‑on contributions to architecture, not just leadership or oversight; must be able to explain what you personally built/delivered in past projects.
Willing to relocate or participate in in‑person interviews at short notice (within 5–6 days).
Technical Requirements
Expert with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Goldengate, Informatica, Ab Initio
Skilled in Data Modeling (ERD, dimensional, physical/logical)
Strong on‑premises data architecture exposure; minimal cloud‑only background
