We’re looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help us build a new data plane for our customers, scale the service, and improve engineering processes.

Career Level : IC3 Responsibilities

As a member of the OCI Platform Service team, work with product teams and other engineering teams to define new data plane services for our customers.

Help design features and then write code to build and operate them.

Operate our service, troubleshoot problems, and generally support our customers.

*** This team is targeting candidates who can work ONSITE in Nashville‑TN. Relocation Assistance provided. (This is not a remote position). ***

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment.

Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in PaaS engineering.

Experience developing service‑oriented architectures and web services security solutions.

Development experience in Java as well as scripting languages.

Experience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, search, store).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences.

Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of object‑oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment.

Familiarity and understanding of distributed computing and cloud‑based platforms.

Understanding of cross‑functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.

Range and benefit information US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 – $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
