THE ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lease Analyst to join our Atlanta-based Lease Services team. The Lease Services department provides recurring and project-based lease abstraction services in support of our customers. In this role the candidate will review and analyze commercial real estate lease agreements and effectively summarize critical data—such as lease terms, options, rent, expenses, maintenance responsibilities and other legal obligations—into the CoStar Real Estate Manager lease‑management application. This position is based in the Atlanta office Monday through Friday. Responsibilities
Review and interpret commercial leases, amendments, licenses, and related real‑estate documents. Abstract leases and supporting documents into CoStar Real Estate Manager’s application following instructions and training materials. Effectively summarize data without compromising legal intent or meaning. Recognize and abstract critical data elements such as dates (including all calculations), lease option types, rent and other charges (CPI, sales tax, percentage rent), repairs & maintenance obligations, and lease clauses (co‑tenancy, exclusive use, radius restriction, surrender, etc.). Identify and communicate discrepancies, raising questions as needed. Perform audits of key financial terms and dates for compliance with legal documents. Meet or exceed daily production goals with a target of 98% or greater accuracy. Adapt to changing requirements and projects with willingness and flexibility. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit university or college. 3+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, Lease Administration, Property Accounting or related contract review. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Prior work with commercial real‑estate lease administration systems is a plus. Self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment. High proficiency in grammar, spelling and proofreading. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Preferred Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Accounting or similar field, or a paralegal certificate. Experience abstracting commercial real‑estate leases. Law degree or paralegal certificate.
