Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant District Attorney located in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The Assistant District Attorney will be responsible for prosecuting criminal cases, providing legal advice to law enforcement officers, preparing and presenting cases in court, and conducting legal research. This role entails interacting with victims, witnesses, law enforcement, defense attorneys, and judges. The Assistant District Attorney will also be involved in plea negotiations, drafting legal documents, and participating in community outreach programs.
Qualifications
Experience in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice
Knowledge of Law Enforcement and Legal Issues
Familiarity with Courts and court procedures
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills
Ability to manage a high caseload and work under pressure
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state of Wisconsin
Experience as a prosecutor or in a related legal field is a plus
