Accounts Payable Manager
to oversee the full lifecycle of accounts payable operations, including vendor management, invoice processing, compliance, and strategic alignment between local operations and corporate headquarters. The AP Manager leads a team that partners with procurement, finance, and operations to ensure timely payments, system optimization, continuous improvement of the procure-to-pay (P2P) process and that financial transactions are accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Base pay range $83,085.00/yr - $124,630.00/yr
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
Oversee vendor onboarding, maintenance, and compliance, including 1099 reporting and tax documentation.
Lead and develop a high-performing AP team, setting goals, monitoring performance, and supporting professional growth.
Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to resolve discrepancies, improve workflows, and align on budgeting, forecasting, and sourcing.
Champion the implementation and optimization of AP systems and tools; provide training and support to users.
Monitor and report on KPIs related to throughput, cost efficiency, and payment accuracy; identify and act on improvement opportunities.
Conduct regular transaction analysis to uncover trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure service quality and value delivery.
Support the development and refinement of AP policies, procedures, and controls.
Gather and respond to customer feedback to enhance service delivery and operational value.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives and represent AP in strategic planning and system integration efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in agriculture, equipment, or materials-based industries.
Proven supervisory experience with a track record of team leadership and performance management.
Strong understanding of P2P processes, vendor management, and financial systems.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
This is an in-office position - eligible candidates must be willing to work on‑site daily, during standard business hours, at the SLC Headquarters.
