Software Quality Engineer – Lockheed Martin – Orlando, FL
We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join Lockheed Martin’s team in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of software systems and processes aligned with AS9100 and program requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
Developing, modifying, and applying quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems.
Designing and implementing software development and maintenance processes.
Defining audit strategy to ensure compliance with systems/software processes.
Evaluating and analyzing software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Performing software product reviews against contractual, technical, and process requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Travel may be required to support program activities.
Experience in Software Quality, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering covering requirements analysis, design/development, product integration, and test.
Ability to interpret software design and code to verify implementation of requirements.
Experience with product development phases.
Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing.
Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques.
Desired Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues.
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
Interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
Presentation and problem solving skills.
Experience with Government customers.
Strong knowledge of CMMI, QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001).
Experience with verification and validation processes.
Different program phase experience (development, production, sustainment).
Handling and dispositioning nonconformances.
Location The position is located in Orlando, FL.
Clearance The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
