Everclear is the cross-chain clearing and settlement protocol that solves liquidity fragmentation for blockchains and digital assets. Our novel clearing system allows solvers to net flows against each other in their rebalancing operations which improves profitability and helps to expand the intent-based ecosystem.
The first half of 2025 has marked a period of rapid growth for Everclear where 25 networks were added including Solana and Tron. Volume was scaled 100x between January and July, surpassing $500m monthly volume and $2bn cumulative volume. The protocol was integrated by major DeFi protocols and solvers including Across, LiFi, Relay, Rhino, Tokka, Exponential, plus many more.
About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain critical services in a cross-chain intent system. You will work on sophisticated blockchain infrastructure that handles cross-chain liquidity, settlement, and rebalancing operations across multiple blockchain networks. The focus over the next few months will be expanding on existing services to ensure we can scale to >$1bn in monthly volume. You will work closely with our solver network and leadership to understand how the intent system should evolve and have ownership over the critical infrastructure that needs to be built. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain services that provide the network with liquidity depth and settlement solutions Build and optimize automated market making bots for cross-chain settlements Implement robust intent settlement mechanisms Develop rebalancing strategies across multiple blockchain networks Ensure high reliability and performance of cross-chain transaction processing Collaborate on architecture decisions across on-chain and off-chain infrastructure Core Technologies
TypeScript/Node.js: Proficiency with modern TypeScript Blockchain Development: Deep understanding of EVM/non-EVM chains, standard Web3 tooling, and cross-chain protocols AWS: Serverless architecture, event-driven systems, containerized applications Multi-chain development (EVM, Solana, Tron) Smart contract interactions using ethers.js/viem Web3 signing and key management protocols Requirements
Required Experience
5+ years of software engineering experience 3+ years working with blockchain/DeFi protocols Experience building production cross-chain systems Track record of working with TradFi or DeFi trading systems Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems Nice to Have
Experience with Everclear or similar cross-chain protocols Knowledge of market making strategies Familiarity with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures Everclear is a small focused team working on cutting-edge cross-chain technology with a strong emphasis on code quality and testing. There is a collaborative environment with open forum for idea sharing and architectural decision making. The team is remote-first with flexible working arrangements across multiple timezones, allowing each team member to find their own rhythm.
