Description The

Wine and Spirits Portfolio Manager

executes assigned suppliers' strategic marketing plans to drive brand growth, awareness, and M.S. Walker profitability across assigned beverage alcohol brands. This role involves close collaboration with Sales, Logistics Team, Director Finance and Administration, Creative Services, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The position works primarily out of our headquarters in Norwood, MA.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships and collaborate with assigned suppliers and management team to develop and execute programs and incentives.

Communicate all programming to Purchasing with depletion forecasts to ensure adequate inventory support.

Coordinate price programs and incentives with Finance Team.

Manage supplier gross profit and maintain relationships with Director of Finance & Sales Administration.

Manage Accounts Receivable Statements and ensure supplier aged receivable terms within 60 days.

Maintain accurate item database for assigned suppliers.

Negotiate and align on brand goals, budgets, and promotional strategies.

Implement pricing strategy, margin analysis, and competitive positioning.

Collaborate with finance and purchasing teams to set and adjust pricing.

Project depletions based on historical data, market trends, and promotional plans.

Provide accurate forecasts to guide purchasing decisions and inventory management.

Monitor sell-through rates and adjust forecasts dynamically.

Work closely with sales, operations, finance, and legal teams.

Manage multiple brands, suppliers, and market initiatives simultaneously.

Balance long-term planning with urgent day-to-day tasks and overlapping deadlines.

Track promotional calendars, pricing changes, and inventory needs.

Adapt quickly to new supplier portfolios, brand strategies, and market dynamics.

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field.

10+ years of brand management experience in spirits or consumer packaged goods.

Must have distribution experience.

Strong analytical skills, price structures, and depletion forecasting experience.

Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.

Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, ERP.

Travel Requirements Occasional travel for events, tastings, and supplier meetings.
