Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer – Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities
Serve as technical representative and liaison between program leadership and corporate cybersecurity stakeholders.
Analyze and understand cybersecurity requirements and engage with stakeholders to communicate impact of requirements.
Work with stakeholders to implement cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Research security trends and advise on methods to mitigate potential impact.
Design, implement, and maintain secure development environments supporting program functions.
Perform and coordinate technical tasks for programs to ensure compliance.
Create and maintain artifacts for programs regarding cybersecurity policies, procedures, and evidence of cybersecurity compliance.
Perform system administration tasks including user access, software installation and updates, system monitoring, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
Respond to and mitigate security incidents and threats.
Provide technical support to programs for cybersecurity requirements and information systems.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical degree and 1‑4 prior years of experience.
Candidate must be a resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the area.
Basic knowledge of network architecture (firewalls, static/dynamic IP configuration, subnets, network diagrams).
Basic knowledge of network protocols (SSH, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RDP, VPN).
Basic experience with Windows and Linux OS (shell, software install/update, access management, basic scripting).
Basic knowledge of security tools (Logging/Monitoring, Antivirus, Encryption, Intrusion Detection).
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Basic proficiency in MS365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
Ability to work across multiple teams/programs (i.e. multitask).
Preferred Qualifications
Possess and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI, TS, or Secret clearance.
Hands‑on experience with System Administration and Security Tools (CrowdStrike, Splunk/Nessus, UFW).
Knowledge of mailing lists/postings for security vulnerabilities (CVE, CISA, OWASP, NIST NVD, Seclists).
Knowledge of Security Protocols (TLS/SSL, Kerberos, LDAP).
Knowledge of relevant cybersecurity standards (NIST 800‑171, NIST 800‑53, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)).
CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CompTIA CySA+), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Experience with cybersecurity benchmarks (CIS, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)).
The ideal candidate will have experience in or be able to work in the areas of software development, DevSecOps, or software testing.
Current possession of Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus.

Pay Range Pay Range $67,600.00 – $122,200.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
