Senior Application Engineer – Global Ticketing Platform
Job Summary:
The Senior Application Engineer – Global Ticketing Platform role is responsible for delivering technology solutions that support the Ticketing platforms across Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX). As a Senior Application Engineer, you will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain these solutions and write, code, test, analyze, and deliver both hardware and software programs and applications throughout the production lifecycle.
Major Responsibilities
Lead Ticketing efforts for upgrades, enhancements, and Tier 2 troubleshooting for all ticketing software systems at all Digital & Technology locations throughout UDX. This may include after‑hours and weekends.
Drive meetings with business partners and vendors to communicate strategies, deployments, and troubleshoot issues.
Review new project and enhancement requirements to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Resolve complex challenges and propose new solutions. Troubleshoot, analyze logs, replicate errors, determine root cause, and communicate findings. Liaise with other technical teams to assist in resolving problems with software products and/or configuration of hardware components.
Design, run and monitor test cases on new and existing applications for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.
Build and maintain software system configuration of supported applications while adhering to defined standards.
Create and maintain application documentation for all software applications including evolving processes. Provide knowledge transfer to the team.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Bachelor’s degree is preferred – MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business.
Experience
5+ years of work experience in Technology, preferred in Technology Support roles with focus in Ticketing leveraging the Gateway Ticketing System and/or Accesso Horizon.
Proficient understanding of SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
Experience working both independently and, in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
