Principal Research Associate, Analytical Development

Join BioSpace to support Moderna’s pipeline as a Principal Research Associate in Analytical Development. This full‑time, site‑based role coordinates characterization and comparability studies for mRNA therapeutics, ensuring regulatory readiness and scientific excellence. Responsibilities

Draft testing protocols and compile characterization reports to support regulatory filings. Coordinate sample generation and partner group submissions for analytical studies. Execute testing across assays including calorimetry, spectroscopy, light scattering and next‑generation sequencing. Analyze data, perform data trending, and maintain good documentation practices. Record and communicate findings; present results at internal or cross‑functional meetings. Write or revise SOPs related to laboratory workflow. Collaborate with R&D departments to advance technology platforms. Perform general laboratory support activities including equipment maintenance and housekeeping. Be accountable for project success and results delivery. Qualifications

BS with ≥4 years industry experience, or MS with ≥2 years industry experience in Biophysics, Chromatography, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related science. Experience performing biophysical characterization focused on mRNA structural characterization. Experience with spectroscopy and calorimetry. Excellent writing and documentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to work independently and effectively in a highly dynamic environment. Site‑based – full‑time presence at Moderna’s site required; remote work not eligible. Moderna does not offer immigration sponsorship; candidates must hold U.S. work authorization. Benefits
