Visionist has an exciting new, fully FUNDED opportunity for a Software Engineer on our PRIME contract.
You will be joining an exciting mission centered around providing visualization and presentation services for the prototyping, development, and production of analytic tools. The team is responsible for reverse engineering captured databases through the development of a tool used to view acquired data and working hand in hand with analysts to pull data and place it into an ELK stack to make it easier to search and understand. You will have the chance to rotate within different teams on the project, developing and broadening your skillset. If this opportunity sounds exciting, then this is the place for you!
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with emphasis on backend services
Build scalable data ingestion, parsing, and search pipelines for complex, relational datasets
Implement repeatable solutions by leveraging Elastic, NodeJS, and modern frameworks
Integrate datasets into searchable and user-friendly interfaces using React and Elastic Stack
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver responsive solutions
Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability across the data lifecycle
Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, including automation and CI/CD
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
7 years of experience in software development
Experience using Elastic Stack, JavaScript (NodeJS), and NiFi
Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), Git and modern version control workflows, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices, and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)/user experience design considerations (desired)
