Need Networking Architect (Local to Irvine)
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires a deep technical background, strategic vision, and the ability to define architecture standards while ensuring alignment with business needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and roadmap of data center, campus, WAN, and cloud networks.
Establish standards and best practices for Arista and Cisco-based infrastructures.
Define network segmentation, security, and SDN strategy.
Partner with engineering teams to guide deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
Oversee Palo Alto firewall and VPN architecture to ensure secure connectivity.
Provide guidance on F5 load balancer design and integration.
Collaborate with cloud teams on Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
Document reference architectures, high‑level designs, and operational models.
Evaluate new technologies, vendors, and solutions for adoption.
Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers, providing design direction and escalation support.
Qualifications
12–15+ years of progressive networking experience, including 5+ years in architecture or lead roles.
Expert‑level knowledge of Layer 2/3 design, LAN/WAN, and enterprise network architecture.
Proven experience with Arista and Cisco in large‑scale deployments.
Expertise in Palo Alto firewall design and segmentation.
Deep experience with F5 architecture.
Strong background in Cisco wireless, including Cisco ISE integration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid architectures.
Cisco CCIE required (lab or written), or equivalent proven expertise.
Palo Alto PCNSE and F5 certifications preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
Other Details
Role is architecture/design‑focused but requires hands‑on validation.
Travel: Up to 4 times per year within North America.
