Summary BSPS is seeking a qualified Deputy Project Manager for a U.S. Department of the Navy contract. The position is contingent upon contract award and involves managing the protection of federally owned and leased facilities, ensuring security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel, monitoring access control, coordinating patrol operations, responding to security incidents, and maintaining evidential integrity. The Deputy Project Manager serves as the primary contact with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and other client personnel.
Salary/Wage Range : $90,000 annually.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Act in the Project Manager’s absence, assuming all related responsibilities.
Implement, monitor, and upgrade the Quality Control Plan.
Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, and assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Lead the response to security incidents in collaboration with the incident response team.
Ensure that security policies, procedures, and guidelines are documented and effectively communicated.
Ensure workforce compliance with contract requirements.
Wear appropriate business attire.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications – Experience, Education and Certification
United States citizen or lawful resident who is a current member or has an honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces.
Minimum 21 years of age and fluent in speaking, reading, comprehending, and writing English; a standardized literacy test must be administered prior to employment.
Secret security clearance with no violations (top secret preferred).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to obtain any required security guard or weapons permits.
Ability to pass a background check covering the last 10 years, drug screening, physical agility test (if applicable), and required training examinations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or in small teams, with strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email communication, and security monitoring systems.
Preferred
Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or substantial law enforcement, military, or business management experience.
Minimum five years of specialized experience, including supervisory roles in law enforcement or a related security field, and experience managing multi-task contracts.
Certifications: guard/clearance card, firearms, CPR, First Aid, AED, and other relevant safety credentials.
