Academic Cardio-Oncology opportunity with Indiana University Health Indiana University Health Medical Group (IUHMG) and the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSOM) Division of Cardiovascular Medicine are recruiting a Cardio-Oncologist for the IU Health Adult Academic Health Center and Eskenazi Health. IU Health is the statewide tertiary/quaternary referral center and a major teaching hospital of IUSOM, the only allopathic medical school in Indiana. Eskenazi Hospital is the safety net hospital for Marion County and a major teaching hospital for IUSOM. All cardiology services at Eskenazi Health are provided by faculty cardiologists.

Our established practice with 40 physicians and 30 advanced practice providers offers the full range of cardiac services from prevention and population health to implanted heart-assist devices and cardiac transplantation. The Cardio-Oncology service provides office consultation and testing at Methodist Hospital, Schwarz Cancer Center at the North Hospital, and the Simon Cancer Center.

Academic appointment at IU School of Medicine commensurate with experience

Participation in research is encouraged

On call rotation shared with large group of cardiologists

Referrals from the largest primary care and specialty care practice in Indiana

Both inpatient and outpatient duties

Experience in cardio‑oncology

Must be ABIM CCEP Board Eligible/Certified

Experience in cardio‑oncology

IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds, serving as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis and a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care. IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals. Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027, featuring three 16‑story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
