Staff Therapist (Part Time) - Psychiatry Position Summary: This part‑time staff therapist plans, organizes, and implements intake coordination, psychosocial interventions, and screenings for emotional well‑being and mental health for pregnant and postpartum individuals at the Hermann Center. The Hermann Center revitalizes treatment of children, perinatal parents, and families through empowering parents and caregivers to nurture social and emotional foundations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides psychotherapy services for families, focusing on understanding and addressing case.

Conducts family therapy with participants in research study, including documentation and charting.

Prepares psychosocial reports and maintains necessary records.

Coordinates phone intake, manages referral list, administers evidence‑based screening tools, and schedules patients.

Schedules patient appointments and provides telephone follow‑up contact.

Facilitates referrals and community resources for patients/families.

Participates in treatment planning with psychiatrists, resource agents, and multidisciplinary team.

Tracks programmatic data and prepares outcome reports.

Verifies insurance coverage for patients.

Answers inquiries from patients/families about community resources.

Prepares and delivers presentations to department and community partners when needed.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a mental health field or a combination of education and experience.

Basic Life Support certification.

Licensed professional counseling credentials (e.g., LCSW, LPC, CPC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist) in Missouri or Illinois.

Preferred Qualifications:

Training as a mental health professional skilled in DSM‑V, CBT, SFT, IPT.

Experience in perinatal behavioral health.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment; typically sitting at a desk.

Office equipment and computer‑based charting system.
