Health and Safety Specialist - Hazard Analyses and Compliance
Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Staff Health and Safety Specialist to join our team on a full-time, direct basis and contribute to our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) operations in the Boston, MA area.
Primary Responsibilities
Facilitate PHAs (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA) at petroleum and chemical facilities.
Identify process hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
Lead and assist with PSM/RMP Compliance Audits.
Review P&IDs, safety protocols, operating procedures, etc.
Prepare clear, actionable reports for clients.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, EHS, Safety Management, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in process safety, EHS, or petroleum operations.
Strong knowledge of the PSM rule (29 CFR 1910.119) and the RMP rule (40 CFR 68).
Excellent facilitation, communication, and technical writing skills. Willingness to travel.
PE, CSP, or CCPS certification a plus.
