V2X Inc invites applications for the
Principal Electrical Engineer
role. The position supports a critical product sustainment program by troubleshooting returned hardware, establishing replacement part requirements, conducting trade studies, leading functional test efforts, and collaborating with program leads on technical sustenance initiatives.
Responsibilities
Perform hands‑on troubleshooting of customer hardware, which may include travel to field sites.
Lead engineering support for product sustainment, including establishment of requirements for obsolete subsystems.
Conduct trade studies and source/ design replacement parts for near‑obsolescent items.
Manage functional test activities to ensure quality new‑item use.
Document technical specifications, modification drawings, test plans, and test reports.
Collaborate with manufacturing personnel during build and repair activities.
Participate in test equipment updates, modifications, and government certification processes.
Required Skills
Six or more years of senior electrical engineering experience.
In‑depth knowledge of RF design principles and analog/digital signal processing.
Experience with MIL‑STD‑1760, MIL‑STD‑1553, RS‑170 interfaces and related power supplies.
Proficiency in schematic capture, simulation, and FPGA HDL design.
Skilled in documenting functional specifications and integration test plans.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with ethical work values.
United States citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Desired Skills
Defense program management or Integrated Product Team experience.
Experience planning Enterprise Capability Plans and DoD IRAD/CRAD programs.
Prior exposure to weapon systems or special mission military platforms.
Current Secret clearance.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
Eight or more years of related work experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Security Clearance & Other Requirements A current or attainable Secret clearance is required for this position.
