We advise on customer‑centric growth strategies, GTM reinvention, and experience‑led innovation across industries. Principal Strategist – Software Practice You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders at top software companies and hyperscalers, guiding them through transformation initiatives to grow revenue, improve operational efficiency, and reinvent customer experience. This is a high‑impact leadership role with visibility across Adobe’s executive team, product organization, and global customer base. You’ll shape the future of Adobe’s strategic engagements in Software, influence product direction, and elevate our presence in the market through thought leadership.
What You’ll Do
Executive advisory : Build and sustain C‑suite relationships. Provide expert guidance on how to plan and execute large‑scale transformation.
Engagement leadership : Design and deliver high‑impact consulting engagements — from customer journey to GTM strategy and operating models — guiding clients to jointly define use cases, sequence roadmaps to maximize value, and plan for org readiness and change management.
Own your sector : Own the growth and evolution of Adobe’s software portfolio in close collaboration with Sales, Technical Pre‑Sales, Marketing and Customer Success. Drive pipeline development, shape offerings, and mentor a high‑performing team. Share “voice of customer” insights with Product and other functions to influence product development, category vision, and marketing strategy.
Thought leadership : Develop original thought leadership focused on emerging trends, use cases, and innovation in software drawing from experience, research, and client engagement. Represent Adobe as a speaker at Adobe, partner and third‑party industry events.
Sales partnership : Collaborate with Adobe’s sales leadership to shape strategic deals, define value propositions, and accelerate customer success.
What You Need to Succeed
10+ years in strategy consulting and/or client‑side digital & customer experience transformation.
Track record of influencing C‑suite leaders and cross‑functional teams to take bold action by anticipating disruptive market trends and making the rational & emotional case for change (CFO business case, compelling vision, competitive risks, etc.).
Strong people leader who enjoys motivating & mentoring individuals to help them unlock potential.
Strong executive presence, workshop facilitation, and client communication skills, with ability to engage and inspire senior leaders.
Extreme passion for solving customer problems at all stages of their lifecycle from pre‑sales to adoption and value realization.
Strong familiarity with technologies that enable digital experience transformation (e.g., enterprise content supply chain, marketing automation, CRM, account‑based marketing, paid media).
Established reputation for sharing insights through published content and public speaking.
MBA or equivalent degree.
7+ years in the Software space strongly preferred.
Willing to travel for customers as needed (~30% of time).
Location: San Francisco or San Jose offices.

Compensation: The U.S. pay range for this position is $148,800 – $260,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. For non‑sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short‑term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
